If Bonnie Prince Charlie’s army had gone a few miles beyond Derby, he could have put up at the New
Bath Hotel near Matlock. In the 19th century this part of the country was known as the English Switzerland - and
the Peak District is every bit as pretty. Walking in the national park around Matlock is gorgeous. And visit nearby Chatsworth
House they have so many treasures, they’ve hung Rembrandts on back staircases in the past! Honestly.
The hotel has an
Olympic sized outdoor swimming pool
which is open from May until October, and an 18th century
natural spa
which bubbles up from the earth and is theraputic. There’s a first class sauna, and a tennis court too.
All free to you when you stay. There are magnificent gardens and i
f you fancy a
four poster or a canopied half-tester room
, those are on offer too (extra charges may apply).
Brackendale Spa is a brand new spa that offers the highest possible level of customer attention. I can personally
guarantee that Jackie, the owner, will ensure every customer is treated to a truly incredible spa experience.
The Spa is very intimate and only caters for a maximum of 8 clients per day. Its size
however ensures that it's the ideal venue for those clients who are looking for the ultimate in personal attention. Offering
superb levels of personal service means there is no queuing, rushing or conveyor belt treatments.

Chatsworth
Chatsworth is one of Britain’s best loved historic houses and estates. The house, garden, farmyard, adventure

Heights of Abraham
One of the Peak District’s oldest and most popular days out. The Heights of Abraham is an attraction
where stunning natural beauty is matched by human achievement and the historic blends seamlessly with the futuristic. Since
first opening its gates to visitors in 1780 the Heights of Abraham has remained one of the Peak District’s most popular destinations.
Visitors have travelled from all over the world to experience its unique blend of spectacular underground caverns, stunning
