About the Venue
The Manor House Hotel and Country Club stands in its own landscaped grounds.
From the splendour of the Knights Hall its oak panelled rooms, an air of quiet confidence exudes and creates the perfect atmosphere in which to relax. Because they believe strongly that hospitality is a great British tradition, no effort has been spared to offer guests a welcome that is personal and genuine.
The hotel houses 35 comfortably furnished and well equipped bedrooms, including four poster and executive rooms.
Many character rooms have been individually designed with stylish fabrics and furniture. Each room is fitted with digital television, telephone and tea / coffee making facilities.
Steeped in history, reputed to have been Henry VIII's hunting lodge and home to the Eden family. Secret passages and a friendly ghost or two! Situated in the historic county of Durham it is an ideal base for exploring Northumbria's many castles, cathedrals and the Roman Wall.

How to Book
If you would like to book for a specific date please call us on 0845 652 0909 (local call rate). We will check availability for you. When you are ready to purchase your break, your booking document will be sent to you by e-mail within an hour between the hours of 8am-10pm, 7 days a week. You will then be required to book your break directly with the venue - full instructions will be given on your booking document. Please note, we do not confirm any reservations.
Purchasing a Gift Voucher
If your break is for no set date i.e. for a gift or to simply use at a later date then you simply purchase this break. If you require a personalised gift voucher please fill in the relevant details on your purchase. Your voucher and gift voucher (if required) will be sent to you by e-mail within an hour between the hours of 8am - 10pm, 7 days a week. Your voucher will be valid for 12 months and can be used any time subject to availability at the venue.
