4 star guest accommodation is set in a secluded setting of 12 acres. School Barn Farm offers country bed and breakfast accommodation with fine views of the beautiful Stour Valley at the start of Constable Country. 

If you want a quiet friendly place to stay with style, space and open fires they look forward to welcoming you. 

At School Barn Farm they have a commitment to sustainability. The bed & breakfast has a framework both for green tourism and as a family home to reduce their carbon footprint. Measures they have taken include:

• solar energy panels
• wood burners
• all food served is either home-grown and made or locally produced 
• natural aromatherapy toiletries blended in Suffolk are complimentary to our guest 
• links with other suffolk rural business
• owl boxes

There are many walks amongst the open farm land and along the river for your enjoyment plus cycling along the many quiet country lanes.

This area is awash with antiques centres and became the setting for the 'Lovejoy' series. These sit alongside boutiques, an array of excellent local pubs and award winning restaurants in our neighbouring villages.   

Lavenham, Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket are all local towns to explore.

Atlantic Health & Spa

Nestled in the heart of the stunning Suffolk countryside in the grounds of Houghton Hall, Atlantic Health and Spa is a unique spa and health club with everything it takes for you to make the most of your free time.

The spa offers state-of-the-art facilities and a highly personalised service in a gorgeous setting. The pool and gym are housed in a series of magnificent 15th Century timber framed barns, as beautiful inside as the rolling countryside that surrounds the spa.

The striking New England inspired interiors and contemporary treatment rooms make Atlantic the perfect place to unwind and treat yourself to a full range of spa treatments. Their therapists’ friendly and professional approach will help you relax and revitalise.

Your stay includes:

1. Accommodation at School Barn Farm, Pentlow, Suffolk.

2. Dinner each evening at the local Pinkuah Arms or Supper at the School Barn Farm. (£15 allowance per night).

3. Full English breakfast each morning.

4. A choice of two of the following treatments at Atlantic Health & Spa (one treatment per person per day):

* Manicure

* Pedicure

* Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage

* Mini Facial

 

5. Full use of the leisure facilities on both days at Atlantic Health & Spa which include sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi & indoor swimming pool.

Please note that Atlantic Health and spa is located at Houghton Hall approx 3 miles from School Barn Farm. It is possible to walk through footpaths or drive.

Break is valid for arrivals on any day of the week (subject to availability).

How to Book  

If you would like to book for a specific date please call us on 0845 652 0909 (local call rate). We will check availability for you. When you are ready to purchase your break, your booking document will be sent to you by e-mail within an hour between the hours of 8am – 10pm, 7 days a week. You will then be required to book your break directly with the venue - full instructions will be given on your booking document. Please note, we do not confirm any reservations.

Purchasing a Gift Voucher

If your break is for no set date i.e. for a gift or to simply use at a later date then you simply purchase this break. If you require a personalised gift voucher please fill in the relevant details on your purchase. Your voucher and gift voucher (if required) will be sent to you by e-mail within an hour between the hours of 8am – 10pm, 7 days a week. Your voucher will be valid for 12 months and can be used any time subject to availability at the venue.
